Do you have digital download products that you want to share with your clients? Content Vaults by RJ Select are good for storing ebooks, sample files, example files, giveaways, games, documents, drawings, pictures, etc. that can be opened and downloaded with a correct password that you provide your customers. Provide the password for free for samples, freebies and giveaways or sell a PDF file with a password through a 3rd party selling platform.
It's really easy to make a Content Vault. For starters, you don't have to know any coding. The Content Vault Generator does that for you. It's for your no code typical click, drag, and drop website builders, and even works great on Google Sites. Basically you first pick a name for your digital download item, and that will be displayed on the Content Vault. Then pick a password you want to open the Content Vault. (Large, and small caps, numbers and symbols are all acceptable). Then you upload your file that you want to store in the Content Vault. Then press the Generate Content Vault button.
Then you press the Copy Content Vault Code button.
Decide where you want to place your Content Vault using your website builder. (I'm using Google Sites in my example.) Press the Embed button in your website builder.
Then paste the code you copied from the Content Vault Generator into the Embed code area.
Now place the Content Vault on your webpage. It will look like this below. I called the vault "Goodies" and the content in the vault is a Content Vault promo picture if you want to try it out. The password is "free". When you type the password "free" and press the "Unlock Vault" button then Content Vault will say "Vault Unlocked!" and the button below that will say "Download Vault Content" If you press the button then the content (promo picture) will download into your computer. You don't have to actually download it if you don't want to, but you can always discard the picture if you don't want it.
If you make a mistake using the Content Vault Generator you can simply refresh the page or press the clear and start over button after pressing the Generate Content Vault Code button. Also note that the Content Vault Generator does not save any information that you input. So you need to decide on a name , a password, upload your content into the vault, generate your code, and copy your code in one visit. If you leave the Content Vault Generator and come back everything is blank again. But it will probably only take you a few minutes to do the process anyway. Be sure to write down or make a spreadsheet of the name of the content vault, it's password, and which website, and webpage you placed it. If you make lots of Content Vaults this will help.
NOTE: The Content Vaults you create will look fine on your websites on a mobile device including Iphones, but you must use the Content Vault Generator by RJ Select on a PC desktop or PC laptop computer ( NOT MAC ) when creating your Content Vaults.

You can upload any file type - there are no restrictions. This includes:
Documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, etc.)
Videos (MP4, MOV, WebM, etc.)
Audio files (MP3, WAV, etc.)
Archives (ZIP, RAR, etc.)
Code files, spreadsheets, presentations - basically anything!
File Size Limits:
There's no strict limit built into the vault itself, BUT there are practical considerations:
Browser Memory: Since files are encoded as base64 and stored in the HTML code, very large files can make the embed code huge and slow to load.
Practical Recommendation: Keep individual files under 10-20MB for smooth performance. Multiple files totaling 50-100MB should work fine, but the larger the total, the longer it takes to generate and load the embed code.
Best Practice: If you're storing very large files (videos, high-res media), consider compressing them first or breaking them into smaller chunks.
The vault will technically handle larger files, but the generated code will become quite large and may take longer for customers' pages to load. So while there's no hard cap, thinking about file size helps ensure a smooth experience!
You would probably want to add a text area either above or below the Content Vault explaining what it is, what it contains and how to acquire a password. If you're offering giveaways then you can just tell people the password such as the example shown earlier. Or tell your customer they need to purchase a password and place a buy now button with a link to a 3rd party selling platform where they can make their purchase and receive their PDF file that contains the password. Or simply having customers e-transfer their purchase to you (check availability in your country and region) and in return you email them the password.
